These are hand carved, hand dyed lucite boxes by artist Joyce Francis They both offer lushly carved lids and sides. These boxes are availble for immdeiate purchase (or can be custom ordered in clear or anotehr color). They measures approximately 10" Long, 8"H, and 6"Deep The bevelled sides add another 1- 2 inches each direction. Please note the last pic which shows the size compared to (left to right) a mini victorian, a jumbo mini, and a mini. Joyce Francis is a Manhattan based artist who hand carves Lucite using twenty five different sized dentist drills in a medium referred to as "cold carving". She is self-taught. Each box or bag is a one of a kind piece of art and they are all exclusive works for the store Blue Tree. There are no embedded objects in any of her work. Joyce's purses are in the permanent collection of costume exhibits at both the Victoria Albert Museum of London and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
